Star Tap
Orbs rise out of deep space and fade if you let them. Tap them in time, keep the streak alive, and the edge of the screen lights up around you. Break it and the climb starts again.
Star Tap is a one-thumb game about timing, and nothing else is asked of you.
Four ways to play
- Classic — an endless run that keeps speeding up until it beats you.
- Journey — 100 hand-tuned levels, three stars each, across a planet you turn with a thumb.
- The Sequence — numbered orbs, tapped in order, against a clock that tightens every round.
- Boss Rush — five space horrors, back to back, for as long as you last.
Journey, The Sequence and Boss Rush unlock as you play.
Made out of code
Every sprite, every note of the thirteen music tracks and every icon in this game is generated by a script. There is no stock art in it.
Where to get it
Star Tap is in testing on Google Play and is not publicly listed yet. If you are a tester, use the opt-in link you were sent.
Money, plainly
Star Tap is free and shows ads, and you can pay once to switch them off. Journey attempts cost energy, which refills over time. Optional purchases cover energy and Star Dust; Star Dust buys cosmetics only, and nothing you can buy changes how the game plays.
Privacy
Star Tap has no servers of its own and no account system. Your scores, progress and settings are saved on your own device, and optionally to your own Google account. The full detail, including the Google services the game uses, is in the privacy policy.
